About Ricardo Estrada

Ricardo Estrada was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, enjoying the warmth and friendliness of the Sunshine City. To complete his university studies, he moved across the bay to Tampa, the Cigar City, and attended USF. Ricardo majored in psychology, rehabilitation counseling, and education. As a result, his novels portray characters overcoming hardship and celebrate the triumph of the human spirit. The inspiration for his second and latest novel, Gratuity Not Included, a story about friendship, love, and loyalty was inspired by his work as a psychotherapist and by his years in the restaurant business while working his way through college. His first novel, Sticks of Fire: The Turning Point, a novel of recovery and redemption, was inspired by his work in the addiction recovery field.Currently, Ricardo lives in Manhattan where he is busy working on his third book, a nonfiction work.
